Filming the body in motion, whether it’s dance or workout, has always fascinated me, because its viscerality fits so well with the nature of cinema.

This job came after I had already made two short films about sports in a realistic style. This time, though, humor came into play, giving the story the feel of a “buddy comedy,” with two girlfriends with very different personalities gossiping about the people at the gym.

Bright diffuse lighting and the use of zoom lenses helped me helm this story, keeping it light, dynamic, and true to the playful spirit of the campaign.
