This project gave me an interesting experience in combining live action with simple 2D animation. The story looked simple on paper, but it had to be made believable. That’s why casting the main character was the most important step.

She needed to be mischievous, yet still carry a childlike charm. Katarina, the little girl we cast, became the soul of this project: intelligent, curious, and fully committed throughout the entire shoot.
